Dear STEAM 2020 authors and prospective participants,
Because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, travel has been greatly restricted worldwide in order to prevent cross-border transmission risks. Even if travel were not limited, many countries, including Japan require a 14-day self-isolation period. We all know that this situation is temporary and will eventually pass. Because of the current situation and keeping your health and safety in mind, the Global Academic-Industrial Cooperation Society (GAICS) has decided to host this conference online via Microsoft Teams (i.e., there will not be an in-person component to this conference).
All registered manuscripts, including both full papers and abstracts, will be published in the conference proceedings of 2020 STEAM conference. As usual, we will send all conference proceedings to ISI office to be possibly indexed in the Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI). Please note that ISI office welcomes all submissions but there is no guarantee of inclusion in CPCI. Inclusion in CPCI is selective and competitive, while not all-inclusive. Distinguished papers will be selected for publication as extended versions in the International Journal of Education, Teaching & Learning.
We realize the disappointment that comes with a decision like this. Hence, we want to take this opportunity to express how much we value and appreciate you as part of the STEAM 2020 community during this difficult time. We hope that life will return to normal soon. We wish you and your loved ones all the best.
Kind Regards,
GAICS Organizing Committee
